How this was made:
This beautiful dragon is made from black polymerclay that was sculpted around a wire armature and sat on another polymerclay base, creating the illusion of a cliff upon which this dragon perches! Within this rocky surface multiple crystals are formed, shining so brightly in shades of orange, purple and pink that everything else starts to shine with them! The black polymerclay of this dragon has been handpainted carefully in different shades of colour-shifting mica powders, and then painted again with bright cyan highlights after baking. The wings were created with iridescent vinyl sheets and black aluminium craft wire and were made to measure for this dragon!
Personality:
"Kalaidah" was so named for all of her mesmerising kalaidoscope of colours that surround her! With her many whimsical swirls and iridescent wings, it's not difficult to see why she prefers the company of other whimsical creatures, like butterflies, fairies, dragonflies and pixies! She spends her time flying through the trees of the earth region, drinking the sweet nectar from flowers and protecting the crystals that form on her favourite rocky perch.
Extra (important!) information:Standard shipping is always free for UK residents! However, unfortunately those outside the UK must pay a little extra for postage, and both UK and international customers must pay extra if they want their order sent by special delivery guarenteed or to be tracked.
I would HIGHLY recommend (especially in this time of covid 19 bringing chaos to our postal services) that both UK and US customers pay for the shipping option that offers tracking, as if not, there will be no way for us to find where your package has gone if it gets lost or delayed on its way to you. I cannot accept responsibility, nor give out refunds or replacements, for items lost in the mail if you did not select this tracked option at checkout. Once a package leaves my hands at the post office, it is completely out of my control.
