How this was made:
This enchanting, mysterious and fearsome jar is adorned with golden/bronze coloured three-dimensional lions, one on the front and one on the top of the cork. Surrounding the lions are various ornate baroque/rococo style frames and flourishes, adding opulent grandeur. The background of the polymerclay design is handsculpted and handpainted swirls and leaves, red at the top to highlight, with deep dark shadows to draw you in. The reds and golds are reminiscent of an Ancient Roman general's armor, harking back to a more heroic time, steeped in mystery and wonder.
Your most precious and sacred treasures may be stored safely within this jar - whilst the outside is clay, the interior is glass, making it safe for potions, water, herbs/plants, or crystals alike. It would make a stunning addition to any altar, table or shelf!

This jar is 5'' high with cork lid on, 4.2'' with cork lid off, 4'' wide.This lion apothecary jar is made from a glass jar and cork, decorated with polymerclay all around the outside (and on the top part of the cork) and painted with acrylic paints. Cork lid can be taken on and off the top of the jar with ease. Whilst the (glass) inside is safe for storing liquids, do keep the outside of the jar (polymerclay) safe from moisture of any sort - as it is unvarnished, to keep its matte finish. Therefore, clean the outside of the jar with a dry cloth only if required.
