How this was made:
This beautiful dragon was handsculpted with polymerclay around a wire armature, then painted with acrylics and coated in epoxy resin, to ensure maximum strength and durability of its spines and limbs. The crescent moon on her tail is made from yellow coloured resin mixed with gold leaf flakes and iridescent yellow craft flakes to give it a fascinating multi-faceted appearance.
Personality:
In the Fire Region, most are very familiar with the sun and the importance of fire in this part of the Adornarium. However, what most people don't realise is that moon also has fiery significance here. And none admire it more than Radiance, this beautiful female dragon with a striking white, black and gold body, reminiscent of the Ancient Egyptian aesthetic. When the magnificent blazing sun sets in the Fire Region, the moon begins to appear, its subtle beauty a calming respite from the dazzling blaze of the sun during the day. It seems to glow gold and copper hues, a reflection of all the fire in this region. The moment it is visible in the sky, Radiance awakens from her cave lair... shaking her pure white body free of soot and dust, she soars up to the sky in exuberence, basking in its cool golden glow. Perhaps she draws her powers from the Fire Region moon, or perhaps she, with her magical abilities, is what keeps it floating so serenely in the sky.
